ATB 4 Integrating Awareness
ATB 4 offers the opportunity of integrating awareness as a body felt experience in one’s own being.
The workshop will explore in depth the following themes:
“The aim is to replace the natural automatic
consciousness by a “conscious” consciousness.”
The Mother
Activities ATB 4
Physical Body
During ATB 4 we explore the physical body from different perspectives to gain a more integrated sense and perception of ourselves and to facilitate reorganization, reharmonizing and healing in our being. Aiming at expanding consciousness, we will work to foster the capacity for conscious soft sustained attention in the physical body.
Especial focus is given to: The Concept of the Use of oneself, Skeleton, Fascia. With an introduction to the Cat Stretch from Thomas Hanna.
Group Activities
Exercises to work on group dynamics and the sense of me and
the group. Practicing awareness of the inner space and outer space relationship and how to be a positive responsive member of a group.
Space
Space exercises help to define and affirm oneself as an individual, and to become aware of one’s own boundaries and the sense of an inner and outer space. Space as well as Form explorations liberate body movement from habitual patterns.
Form
Form is both the exploration of positions and shapes we can make with our body while observing the effects these shapes have on the whole being, and the how we shape our body to express an inner experience or tune to an inner quality. We will explore the sense of inner and outer symmetry and the sense of Axis/Midline. We will put Form work with the work of space and a sense of the group.
Inner Smile and Open the Heart
Inspired in Mantak Chia’s work and the osteopathic approach, this activity unlocks deep inner body release and opens the heart in all its dimensions. Awareness and release of inner holdings.
Music and Movement
We use music to deepen true listening and to add a
sense of time to the work of Space and Form. Using the work of Rolf Gelewsky: Sound Structures, as a base, we will explore listening as an activity of the silence, an experience of concentration.
Exploring the Subtle Physical Body
The subtle physical body is also called by other names like: the etheric body or the nervous sheath, working with the subtle physical body opens to a wider sense of reality and to a more intimate contact with ourselves and with the manifested world. It has a calming and centering affect and helps to align and harmonize the being.
Relaxation
Activities to help children and adults to acquire their own personal
sensory landmarks and ways to enter relaxation at will at time any space. We will explore dynamic relaxation and deep relaxation in the form of Yoga Nidra. (how to introduce and build up deep relaxation in children and adults).
Sensory Exercise
Exercises to explore easing into presence and a mirror like consciousness.
